Origen Special coffee is the first Colombian coffee to travel to outer space, thanks to NASA's CubesInSpace program . It has also participated in various projects and competitions, where its quality and authenticity have been recognized, earning awards for its flavor in Colombia and around the world.

BECAP Social Project: Origen Special Coffee is currently sponsoring a social project run by the biochemical engineering faculty at Icesi University called BECAP (Biochemical Engineering Community Assistance Project) . In this project, Jhon coordinates and leads a session focused on coffee, explaining the coffee production process and concluding with a specialized tasting.
